I Made a Pair of Wide Legged Pants for Myself

I wanted to make a pair of wide legged pants, but wasn't sure about how wide the legs should be to look flattering on my petite 5'1" self. Too wide and it would have overwhelmed me and made me look like I was wearing someone else's clothes. I just didn't know, so I decided to sew a pair of pants with a vintage junior petite pattern. Junior Petite patterns are drafted for people who are 5'1" tall, that's exactly my height! I used the pants pattern from McCalls 2546. The size 9 fits me perfectly! On the pattern envelope, the pants look like they're straight legged pants, but they look like moderately wide legged pants on me. After I finished the first one in a teal green, and tried it on, I absolutely loved it! I loved it so much that I made an ivory one, a black one and a forest green one.
