Sewing Plan - 2025 Summer Sundress Edition

Fun sundresses guaranteed to keep me cool in hot weather, that's exactly what I need in my summer wardrobe. I searched my pattern stash and came up with a few that are going to be in my wardrobe before the summer is over.

From the vintage Butterick Boutique line of patterns, Butterick 5305 (see pic above). How cute is this! I have a pink, yellow, and green border print that I'm going to use to make the short version.

Hilary Duff had some really cute McCalls patterns a while back and I want to make the McCalls 5804 dress. I'm making the sleeveless version but with a gathered skirt:

I'm using an orange print that's leftover from a sarong I made a few weeks ago:

I absolutely love my sarong!

I also want to make a fitted white sundress with vintage Simplicity 2571. I have some white twill in my stash that will be perfect for this. I might just make this all white, or I might trim it with navy for a nautical look:

From Butterick's Suzi Chin Maggy Boutique line, Butterick 5490. I'm a classic and this is a classic design if I've ever seen one! I have a red and pink floral in my stash that will be perfect for this:

I also want to make this Simplicity 8873 dress, from their Gertie line, but I don't know what fabric I'll be using for this, yet:

This dress is also in my queue, but not sure about the fabric, yet:

That's on the drawing board for projects coming up next!

I'm working on the Hilary Duff dress first. Be back when it's done.

Be well and be safe everyone!
